Verstappen Wins Japanese Grand Prix for Fourth Straight Year

M ax Verstappen claimed his fourth consecutive victory at the Japanese Grand Prix, marking a dominant pole-to-flag performance. The world champion, driving for Red Bull, held off McLaren's championship leader Lando Norris to cross the line 1.4 seconds ahead, securing his 64th Grand Prix victory.

Verstappen had a challenging start to the season, but his car showed significant improvement, and he expressed his satisfaction with the result. "I am incredibly happy. This weekend started off quite tough but we didn’t give up, kept improving the car. Today it was on its best form," said the Dutch driver, becoming the first to win four consecutive times at Suzuka.

Norris, despite a strong race, was unable to challenge Verstappen, finishing second. His lead in the championship standings has now been reduced to just one point over Verstappen.

“It was a flat-out race from start to finish, so tough, but just not enough today, nothing special that we had that we could get Max on,” said Norris, reflecting on his performance.

The race was nearly incident-free, with the outcome largely decided during Saturday’s qualifying, allowing Verstappen to maintain control throughout the event.
